My (8 month old) daughter's hair is very fine and still quite short so any bows clipped in will just pull on her little hairs. I was thinking of this the other day when I remembered an old hairbow that I had when I was a baby. It was velcro with the bottom piece attached with a string.

Then velcro the hair in between. It will stick in better and if it falls out, it won't pull any hairs.
