Moon Nightlight

I saw this on pinterest and instantly thought "baby nightlight!"

Take a blank canvas

Mark your pattern on the back

Poke small holes and then push the light bulbs from a Christmas string of lights through.

Plug in and admire...

I loved the light effect but not the design. Boo. Can't undo the holes.

What to do?

Oh, re-cover it with cool scrapbook paper. I had this paper and it matches the nursery wonderfully - bonus.
I first hot glued the paper along the sides of the canvas.
I then printed off/hand trimmed a crescent moon shape to trace onto the back.

Decisions, lopsided moon or

Straight moon?

Lopsided won:)
Flip canvas over, trace on back. Count your lights and disperse dots along the outline on the back and poke the holes. Then push the lights through.

Hang and enjoy. Little one falls asleep each night with this glowing moon to admire.

I had so much fun picking out the two fabrics for a car seat cover for my good friend's new baby boy.

Crafty treats!! I love a good trip to Hobby Lobby!

Homemade paci clips with suspender clips, fun ribbon and velcro. Just sew it all on!

Cake pops a-la-Bakerella.

Onsie Cupcake

Roll up the onsie, pin a bow on top and place in a cupcake liner.

Wa-la. An adorable way to give a homemade onsie!

Onsies

I saw some cute onsies online. Decided to cut the fabric out, iron on Pelon on the back, iron onto the shirt and sew around. You can do any design you want!

Ice Cream Cake

Bake a cake in 2 rounds. When cool, slice the rounds in 1/2 so you have 4 thin rounds.
Mush one carton of ice cream into 3 round cake pans lined with plastic wrap and freeze the ice cream rounds solid. When frozen,  peel the ice cream out of the plastic wrap and layer cake, ice cream, cake and so on. Spread cool whip over the cake and freeze until ready to eat!
A birthday fave around here.
You can play with all flavors of cake, ice cream and add-ins.

I Painted these blocks white and mod podged some tissue paper on top.
Then stenciled the letters on.

I pull these out for each family birthday!
